Rings on their hands and toes in the sand!
When you combine a gorgeous couple who are head over heels in love with each other, a beautiful venue and a perfect Florida sunset it's a recipe for magic! We were over the moon when Kaitlyn booked us for their wedding, not just because we knew it would be stunning but also because they truly value professional photography and felt that it was one of the most important elements of their big day.
We first photographed Kaitlyn & Jason last year for their holiday photos. They wanted to have their portrait taken with her beloved dog Capone near their home at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. Kaitlyn is the owner of Suite Rose salon in Winter Park and is known for her expertise in fantasy hair color. For their session she was rocking lavender hair and the pair were so ridiculously cute together, we knew this was just a taste of what it would be like on their wedding day.
Leading up to their wedding we met with Kaitlyn to discuss all the details of her nuptials, review her timeline and find out what was most important to her. She told us they had chosen the Grand Plaza Hotel on St. Pete Beach because she really wanted epic sunset wedding portraits. We have a "slight" obsession with photographing the sunset so that made us even more excited for her wedding. We loved how much thought they put into the details of their wedding, from the grooms gift of hand rolled cuban cigars flown in from Cuba and the bride gift of rose gold diamond earrings to match her exquisite ring , everything was simply beautiful.
The Grand Plaza has a suite called the Glamour Room which the girls used to get ready. It was the perfect name for this group of girls who looked so glamorous in their sequined dresses in an array of complementing colors. The guys toasted with old fashioneds while the girls popped champagne excitedly before the ceremony!
Jason and Kaitlyn's wedding day was absolutely gorgeous! The sky was vivid and the rain held off thankfully. Her ceremony site was elegantly decorated and the arbor was draped with cascading flowers that were perfectly understated.
Her grandmother, who is very special to her, walked her down the aisle and the couple's heartfelt vows made us all laugh and tear up. We love it when a groom cries! ;)
It was a hot Florida day but the whole bridal party were such troopers, they were down for anything and didn't complain once about the heat! :)
After their formal portraits we all headed upstairs to the Presidential Ballroom for their introductions and first dance. Her reception room carried on the gold theme and the tables were decorated with beautiful terrariums and geometrical accents. We love seeing couples enjoy those intimate few moments together however that moment for them was short and sweet as we had to rush back downstair for the sunset!
The sunset was everything Kaitlyn had hoped it would be. The golden light was absolutely incredible and Florida's west coast delivered one of the colorful sunsets it's famous for. It was hard to take a bad photograph with this amazing combination!
After sunset, the couple headed back upstairs for a night full of dancing, silly photo booth antics and hilarious moments with their fun loving guests. The groomsmen toasted the lovely couple shortly before their grand exit.
Jason handmade all these ribbon wands for their send off at the end of the night, how sweet!
We had such an amazing time at Jason and Kaitlyn's wedding! Their families were so wonderful and their guests were a lot of fun! We're so grateful they chose us to be a part of their special day. We're looking forward to seeing baby Lanzone's in our studio in the future!!
